“atticwife” is a play, silly! But in the play, the titular atticwife is Astrid Fisher, a fictional tradwife influencer who’s taking the lifestyle a step even further. To her millions of followers online, Astrid claims that she has been willingly locked in an attic by her husband and is cheerfully awaiting a lobotomy. But is she really as happy as she seems? One of her viewers, Leah Park, isn’t so sure. When Leah breaks into the attic to rescue her, Astrid is forced to ask herself if the life she’s made as a “traditional” woman is as perfect as she’s always insisted it is--or if she’s in serious danger.
